SSACN – the Scottish Sea Angling Conservation Network – have a vacancy for a Project Coordinator for their Scottish Shark Tagging Programme (SSTP).
The organisation
Last year SSACN was glad to receive funding support from Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) and the Argyll and the Islands LEADER Programme.
This funding accelerated the progress of the SSTP and enabled the network to put a successful data gathering and reporting infrastructure in place as well to undertake a number of activities to increase public awareness of the issues through school visits, websites and social media.
Thanks to the commitment of all those who have supported SSACN and the SSTP events and activities, the organisation has been able to secure a second funding package from the same organisations.
The Project Coordinator will continue to focus on the acquisition, validation and analysis of tagging data, outreach activities and communication programmes, as well as assisting with tag distribution and training anglers in the use of tagging equipment.
